Who is responsible

Mari Media is responsible for this website and the personal information handled through it. Mari Health is the publication on this site.

This notice describes current and authorized near-launch practice. It is an owner-reviewed operational notice. It is not a certification of compliance with every privacy law, and it does not say that a lawyer, regulator, or independent reviewer approved it.

This is a mailing and contact address only. It does not describe a Canadian business registration or a place of incorporation.

Mari Health is written primarily for readers in the United States and Canada. Expanding deliberately into other regions would require another policy and data-processing review.

What this notice covers

This notice covers personal information connected to using Mari Health, including:

• information you choose to send by email;
• ordinary technical information handled automatically when the site is requested;
• the email address and consent record you submit through Newsletter signup;
• consented, privacy-minimized website analytics.

Mari Health does not currently offer user accounts, payments, subscriptions, personalized health services, or targeted advertising. It does not intentionally collect health information about a reader. If you include health details in a message you send, those details are part of that message.

Information handled today

Messages you send

If you email Mari Media, we handle the information contained in that message. That usually includes your email address, the content of the message, and any name or other details you choose to include. We use this to understand the request, respond when appropriate, and keep ordinary records.

Public Contact and Corrections pages are not yet open as live site features. The Privacy mailbox above is the current privacy-request path.

Ordinary technical information

Operating a website involves ordinary technical processing by hosting and security infrastructure. This can include an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps, and similar server or security logs. We do not claim that the site handles no personal information merely because there is no public form.

If you affirmatively allow analytics, Mari Health loads Google Analytics to measure site usage. Internal Mari Health Search query values are removed from analytics page URLs and are not sent as raw search terms. Newsletter form fields, email addresses, and GHL payloads are never sent to Google Analytics. Declining analytics leaves the analytics tag off.

Newsletter information

Mari Health collects Newsletter leads through an affirmative-opt-in signup form. The form requires an email address and a separate, unchecked consent checkbox. It does not request a name, health information, or a resource.

When you submit the form:

• you actively choose to subscribe;
• consent is not prechecked;
• your email address and consent provenance are recorded in HighLevel (GHL);
• the record is used to maintain the future Mari Health Newsletter list and honor unsubscribe and suppression requests.

Campaigns, broadcasts, automated email sequences, and lead-magnet delivery are not enabled by this launch. Email sending begins only after a separate operational decision.

Why information is used

Personal information is used to:

• operate, protect, and improve the Mari Health website;
• respond to messages and privacy requests;
• keep ordinary records needed for accountability;
• record an affirmative Newsletter signup and maintain the future-send list;
• measure consented, privacy-minimized website usage and organic-search performance.

We do not currently sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not promise that every future product will work the same way; a later feature such as payments, accounts, or advertising would require a separate review and an updated notice.

Consent and choices

Sending an email and subscribing are voluntary. Newsletter subscription requires affirmative opt-in. After sending begins, you may withdraw Newsletter consent through the unsubscribe link in each email, or at any time by writing to legal@marimedia.co. We keep the records needed to honor that opt-out.

Google Analytics loads only after you allow analytics. You may decline it or change that choice through the Analytics choices control in the site footer.

You may also write to ask about access, correction, deletion, objection, or other choices that apply to your situation. We will consider requests in light of the information we actually hold and any legal duties that require us to keep a record.

Service providers

Mari Media uses service providers to host and protect the website. Those providers may process ordinary technical information on our behalf.

HighLevel (GHL) processes the Newsletter email address and consent record on Mari Media's behalf. Google Analytics processes consented, privacy-minimized website measurements. Google Search Console provides aggregated information about search queries, impressions, clicks, and landing pages; it withholds some rare or sensitive query data.

International processing

Personal information connected with this website may be accessed, stored, or processed outside the country where you live, including where Mari Media or its service providers operate. The mailing and contact address above is in Canada. Hosting, security, email, and any future Newsletter provider may handle information in other countries, including countries whose privacy laws differ from the laws where you live.

Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws and lawful requests from courts, law enforcement, or public authorities. Mari Media remains responsible for applying reasonable safeguards to personal information under its control. We do not claim that personal information never leaves the country where you are located.

Data minimization and retention

We aim to handle only the information needed for the purposes above.

No fixed retention period is configured in this application. In practice:

• email correspondence is kept as long as needed to respond and for ordinary records, accountability, or legal claims;
• Newsletter consent, unsubscribe, and suppression records are kept as long as needed to operate the list and honor opt-outs;
• hosting and security logs follow the practices of those providers.

When information is no longer needed for those reasons, it should be deleted or securely disposed of.

Security

Mari Media uses reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a small editorial website, including access controls for unpublished content and keeping secrets out of the public repository. No website can promise perfect security.

Children

Mari Health is an educational publication for a general adult audience. It is not directed at children, and Mari Media does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, write to legal@marimedia.co so it can be deleted.

External links

Mari Health may link to sources, events, or other websites. Those destinations have their own practices. This notice applies to Mari Health.

Cookies and analytics

Search-engine optimization for this site does not require cookies.

Essential cookies may be used where they are mechanically required to operate or protect the site.

Google Analytics uses the existing Mari Media GA4 stream only after you affirmatively allow analytics. Reports can be separated by hostname. Mari Health does not send Newsletter fields, email addresses, GHL payloads, or raw internal Search terms to Analytics. Internal Search measurement is limited to privacy-safe activity such as whether a search occurred, result-count ranges, and result selections.

Declining analytics prevents the Google Analytics tag from loading. There are no advertising pixels, behavioral-advertising tools, or marketing trackers in this launch scope.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please write to legal@marimedia.co first so we can try to resolve it. You may also contact a privacy authority that is able to consider a complaint about our handling of personal information, including an authority in a place where you live or where Mari Media operates.

Changes

This notice may be updated when practices change. The effective date below will change when a material update is published.
